12/30/2005 The long walk home part 1The long walk home
It was just one of those hot summer days where the air is warm, birds are singing, the smell of summer was here, at last she sighed thinking how nice it would be to go for a walk along the riverside. Therefore, at that very moment, she grabbed her keys from the counter and picked up her small bag, which she had only just brought from a little shop she loved, and out the door, she went. Walking down the road, passers by saying hello, with the glow on her face they would smile and watch her go by, she felt very happy within herself today. In her long cream summer dress flowing as she walked, her eyes was as blue as the sky with a little green flicker in them, with a look of grace “how could no one notice her”. As she got into the park, there were noises of children laughing and playing on the swings, a dog running around with his owner, the trees all green and the grass was so nice she could not help but to slip off her shoes and walk along feeling the warm ground under her. She found herself to be humming to the sounds of the birds she wondered why she feels so happy and what for; she never thought that she could feel this way again, she could see the river in her sight. At last she was there the river was so clear you could see right to the bottom were the stones had been for many years from her childhood she could remember playing there, trying to pull the big stones up just to find hidden gems and gold, she laughed and walked on. As she went down the river she came to a point that she had never been before that was the point were she was never aloud to go past, her mother would say. However, it was on this day that she now could. A new place she had never stepped into, the feeling of being a child doing something that was not aloud came over her; she felt excited and went on. For a while, the surroundings did not look any different, but still she felt happy. Then she came to a small fence with trees draped around, there was a small hole she thought she could just fit through so she tried, and out she came the other side. To her surprise, nothing was the same everything was different? There was not a sound around her, no children playing in site, and not one dog; she could not even hear the barking from the other side of the fence. This place was like no other place she had ever been to, “how could I have never known about this I’ve walked all over this village” she said to her self! Walking along the riverside the water began to become shallower and there were some large stepping-stones from one side to the other, crossing over the stones, she followed the path around a small hedge and to her surprise, there stood a large old farmhouse. Surrounded with trees and so many flowers she could not believe her eyes, sitting down to rest she did not no what to do, thinking to herself “is this real am I dreaming where did this place come from. oh how I long to live here.” laying her head down to rest looking up to the blue sky she couldn’t help but wonder, if anyone lived here; what kind of person would be living all on there own or is it a big family home. “I need to go closer to the house, I need to see for myself” at that she sat up and was just about to stand and walk to the house, however there in front someone stood holding a hand out to help her, TrackbacksThe trackback URL for this entry is: http://shell212.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!C668591861F2B220!504.trak Weblogs that reference this entry
